We need Drop Shadow control for text!

Would be really awesome if we could get built-in code that could apply a drop shadow to text and the ability to control it. Prefer access to a drop shadow control panel from the upper right hand icon in the layer menu for that Text Layer.

Scripting would not give us the adjustment control we need. Using the blur palette knife with duplicating text layers is not the way to go either.

This is not a great solution but you can make a stencil of you text layer then add a layer below it. Off set the stencil where you want the drop shadow and use the airbrush to apply what ever color you want. This does not give you a live editable drop shadow but I think it would be better than trying to use the palette knife.

Thank you, jmac! I have a few words that I made into sticker sprays so I could control the shadows easily, but of course making a sticker spray is a big commitment unless I need to use that particular bit of text often. Your idea makes it easy to create shadows for any text on a whim.

Very nice workaround Jmac~!~ Still want real controls however. Especially when it comes to controlling blurred drop shadows.
