Trying oils again with a wee bit of wc and SOS's sponge brushes thrown in .

What one might see driving the back roads around here

Nice, good temperature. The warm vanishing point contrasts with the rest of the painting and creates a good focal area.

What a great mood! Love the range of warm and cool grays with the peach light source. Pleasing combination!

Love the impressionistic style. A very pleasant picture.

Excellent! It immediately reminded to me of a painting by De Nittis I love on an Appennine Mountains pass ... see herebelow.

Cool painting - in more ways than one. I will come back to this to cool me down over the next three days when our forecast is for 40'sC!

    Giuseppe De Nittis?
Here there are some of his paintings ...
    https://www.google.it/search?q=de+ni...ed=0CAYQ_AUoAQ
and here's his English wikipedia (poor) biography.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giuseppe_De_Nittis

It was a pity he died prematurely at 38 when he was getting more and more appreciated and successful ...
