Question ArtRage 3 to 4 Transition: Water Color Question

    Hello,

I very recently transitioned from ArtRage 3 to ArtRage 4.

In ArtRage 3, I was able to whisk the water color tool such that it ended in a very fine point. I used this technique quite frequently (ex. mountain tops, grass blades). In ArtRage 4, the water color tool tapers off in a blunt, round manner. As far as I can tell, the tool seems less interactive with touch pressure now. Is there a setting to change this?

I can upload example illustrations if that will help clarify the effect I am trying to accomplish.

    Thank you.

Hello Derek and welcome to the AR forums
Interesting, I think you might have a point here. (excuse the pun!)
The canvas in my screenshots is the standard Watercolour paper that comes with AR and at the default opening resolution of 72dpi.
Brush settings are at their defaults and size set to 100%.
AR4.5.3 are the blue brush strokes and AR3.5.12 are the black strokes.
All made with the same light flicking action with the tablet pen.
The same Wacom tablet settings were also used for both versions of AR.
And AR3 definitely gives more pointy results.

Mark - Thank you for the welcome, pun, tech specs, and screenshots Much appreciated! My issue was greatly clarified with your posting.

Victor - Thanks for the setting fix! I didn't realize tools could be so customized. I'm really happy I can continue working in version 4. I was contemplating going back to version 3.

This was all immensely helpful. Thanks again, Everyone.
