Very cool notion. Is that a southern hemispheric equivalent to the Aurora Borealis, seen only by the Sailor Moon? Who cares about the ancient Greeks and their constellations. Being so close to Japan, I should think it only normal that your natural phenomenon take on the character of anime. Oh, look, there's the little Chibi and the constellation Totoro!

Anyway, it's a right good lupine visage. Good descriptive information of the wolf.

You picked it but were too gentlemanly to be obvious about it. Yeah, I put the incorrect name in the title. I had opened the canvas intending to paint a fox and then changed my mind and made a wolf stencil.

I have just added something more to my 'bucket list' (the previous was patting the tigers). http://tours.aurora-service.eu/

More or less like the ghost dog of Jack Skeleton in Nightmare before Christmas .... Brilliant!
Just a little correction, it is Canis Lupus [from LATIN: canis(nom), canis(gen), dog, 3rd declination; lupus(nom), lupi(gen), 2nd declination]

Thanks for the correction Caesar - I even asked Mr.Google and still got it wrong with a mistype.
