    Goliath Heron

This one was done with stickers as brushes, stencils, watercolor, knife set on instant blur and a lot of time. This one took a couple weeks. I kept going over and over. Stickers don't always lend themselves to doing good detail. Even using the Wacom tablet, it was a chore just trying to get a semblance of feathers. This was done from a reference photo of a Goliath Heron in Africa. The photo was done by Guy Poisson.

Wow! Just when I think you have shown us your best yet, you produce another marvel. I would love to be looking over your shoulder when you are using the stitch sticker.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Hmmm, I think you would have to have a mighty long neck to do that from your side of the globe.

I wish there was a much stronger word than 'Wow'.
Bobbi, this work is fantastic. I'm standing in awe (well actually, sitting in awe), coming back here to see your majestic heron over and over again. The details. The colors. The pose. All the range of differently sized and textured feathers.

Another wow. It looks so three dimensional. Great technique you've employed.
