    Playing with metallic glitter, nice painting. If you want a smoother look with the glitter, try using a canvas without any texture.

    Thanks Steve - we're pretty safe in our little town - surrounded by farmland rather than scrub and forests. These fires are in hilly terrain which makes it so hard to fight them.

    Thanks for the hint Bobbi - because I was experimenting I just used the default canvas. I do like the effects you are getting - very smooth and metallic.
