    Guinea Pig

I used to have a guinea pig as a pet when I was a child.

Except for the details, I used a glazing brush on the body. As often happens, the background had me stumped so I used Copespeak's scrubby oil brush she so kindly shared - thanks Robyn - I hope I did it justice.

    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Took one look and cracked up. Very cute. Two big eyes and a sprig of garnish glued on to a ball of white fluff. Love it. But you may want to keep him away from Caesar, lest he think the garnish means he's all plated up and the blue plate special.

    He's lovely June!

We had one for around 8 years when my kids were young, called Mr Squeaky. I really loved that little guy, and all these years later I can still hear his excited squeaking as we walked by his hutch. They are the best pets.
