    Avvento - Advent

Here I quickly composed, by mouse only, a traditional Advent candles set by appropriately using paint tube, knives, airbrush and standard stickers to create a more German, Austrian, Alpine and Northern Italy atmosphere. Over there also wooden-made nativity scenes, at least within the Catholics lands boundary, are the symbols of Christmas together with the tree.

It's lovely Caesar - the candles look very waxy and transparent. Here in the Catholic Church in Aus. we have three purple candles and one rose coloured candle which is lit on the last Sunday before Christmas. Your candles look a mixture of rose and purple. So pretty.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Thank You, dear Enug! The waxy look comes directly from using the paint tubes, while the transparency effect and the tridimensionality may be sensibly improved by an appropriate or credible enough lighting and shading. In this sense no need to be too pedantic, AR or our sight seem to be tolerant or forgiving in front of minor deviation from an optimal color and tone option.

That was the most amusing part of this game, lighting and shading and darkening here and there to get the effect, dear Jean. Glad I succeeded reasonably enough with only my mouse, my imagination and mental view and ... the fantastic Artrage tools! Thank You!

I'm pleased to have recalled a glimpse of Your childhood, dear Marilyn Anne and hope it may have made You rejoice and warmed Your heart in view the forthcoming Christmas. Thank You!

Grazie, carissimo Steve, anche per il tuo caloroso saluto in italiano!
I hope You feel far better now and more and more so in short time, at least as healthy and good-looking as in Your Santa's attire of Your seasonal Avatar. Recently I let my beard grow and my look is, alas, very Santa-like too, with most of my beard (as my hair) and all of it in the lower part (mandible and neck) as white as frost, while my moustaches kept dark as my eyebrows. Now I'm going to shave soon or they'll ask me to get into houses through the chimneys (where they still exist), but, although less overweight than red-dressed chap, I'm not as deformable as he is to slide in his way!

Merry Christmas to you as well Dear Cesare. Beautiful candles, very well rendered. Tonight I hope I will dream of one of your beautiful pin-ups lightened up by these candles

Grazie, caro D Akey! You are always amazing also with Your languages knowledge and Your Italian idiom reminiscences! Merry, merry Christmas indeed, to You and all Your beloved ones. dear friend, and thank You so much for all Your valuable, encouraging and amusing comments who made me grow up, improve and enjoy constantly on this Forum! God bless you!

Thank You, dear Andrea! I thought also of an antology of my past Christmas cards which didn't discard pin-ups either, but I didn't want to annoy friends in here with revivals which could be seen as a sort of self-celebration .... nonetheless I wish You get a pin-up dream or, even better, a real one under Your tree and hope you asked for such a gift to Santa Klaus or Baby Jesus, as we used to have too, although tis may evidently show You're not exactly a sinless good boy ...eh, eh
