I'm a couple of holidays ahead. (new heart added 11/8)

I work on holiday artwork a few months ahead. I post some of it to Zazzle so I need a long lead time. Here is something for Valentine's Day.

I did everything inside ArtRage except for the gold of the heart border. I created the curls in ArtRage with the Ink Pen set with lots of smoothing and the Symmetry tool and a heart stencil. I then took it into Corel Photo-Paint to do the gold.

Here is another one that I did with ArtRage metallic paint for the heart blurred for the shiny effect.

Absolutely gorgeous Aunt Betsy! So rich and ornate. What are you going to put them on?

Thanks so much Robyn! That is my problem I'm not all that good at deciding what to put things on. I will probably make some cards, maybe some stickers, or even some cookies. I end up making lots of artwork that I never put on anything. Zazzle has added so many new products and they have so many contributing designers that I get kind of paralyzed and over whelmed by it all. Then I look at the prices they charge and I think people shouldn't be spending that much money on this stuff, so I just go off and make more artwork or read a book or something. I need to really get my head out of the whole thing. It was so much nicer there before all the expansion.

Pretty neat hearts for sweethearts. I like the first one for a real clear look. The second one is intriguing owing to the connotations I get from the stuff going on in the red. It's sort of feudal feeling. I see shields in that heart, which I suppose could give some interesting interpretations of what kind of relationship was in store were I to get it as a valentine. Another something comes to mind with it -- I'm thinking storybook fairy tale like Sleeping Beauty -- with the rescuer, and the vines overgrowing around the castle. I would definitely put that one in a storybook like that. It's not a comfortable suburban story. Neat look though! But for a flame, I would give the first one just cause I'm an optimist and have done my time with dragons.

Thank you D Akey!!! You always come up with a unique perspective of things. Actually, the things in the second heart are from the ArtRage home office that are the reflections that are revealed when blurring the metallic paint of the glitter tool or the paint tube. It looks a little different because I created half a heart and then duplicated it and flip it and joined it with the other half. I didn’t like the look of the heart when I created it as a whole.

I really like your insight into the second heart having you think of Sleeping Beauty. The whole vine thing is kind of what I had in mind when I did these.

Thank you pai! It’s nice to hear from you. I did post one Christmas graphic a pine wreath a little earlier. I have been working on more Christmas artwork but most of it seems to be frames for photo cards not all that interesting unless you’re looking for photo frames I’ll probably post some more Christmas stuff later.

Thanks Caesar! Yes, Valentine's day. I'm glad you like them.

Here is another one I tried to combine the good parts of both one and two.
