Cool. Sort of the Jurassic Park of Magic. A story is about to be remembered. . . only I forgot what it was. Hey, I just suddenly pulled a quarter out of my own ear! That trick will definitely help when parking around here. Now how the heck did I do that again?

Reminds me a little of a map of a land development with all that segmenting, only with each plot of land colored by the personalities of the family living there. Nice aesthetic effect overall.

Looks like you had a 'magical' day painting. Lovely colours.
    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

I like that phrase " A story is about to be remembered" that links in with what I was working with on this. Kind of like those archaeological digs in old ruins where just the outlines of the building and streets are revealed.

OMG has it been ten days? wow... well last weekend I was up in Portland Oregon visiting a friend and they had "Open Studio" weekend where artists open their studios to the public to drop and and visit with them look at what and how they work... it was fun to see other artists work spaces, some very nice studios and some just simple corner of the room.. Interestingly no digital artists were represented... which seems a shame. One woman whose studio I visited was doing large floral and still lifes from photographs she had taken in the area. and then she would put the image into her MacBook and zoom in for the details. We had a nice discussion on the topic "Is it cheating to use photographs for your painting" I am most liberal and anything to get the artists vision together works for me. After all it is the artists vision of the world that is a primary creative force. not the tools used. She was using water soluble oils, and had a few squeezed out and let people play a little on a test canvas. the texture was very oil like not like acrylics at all.. plus no smelly turps, cobalt siccative etc...

Thanks Enug I did enjoy my walk along the river and the low sun and deep shadows made for some remarkable scenes.

A great comment from Caesar! I really like the green seas around the island. Reminds me of clear sunny days and white sand, and that wonderful glow in the water.
