Black Caviar and her unnamed foal - Now finished!

I've never shown a work in progress before but I have a feeling this could take me some time as I've done and redone the foal's head a number of times.

Black Caviar in case you haven't heard of her, is a much loved Australian racehorse. She was unbeaten in 25 races and even travelled to Ascot - wearing a compression suit - and won there.

This is her with her eagerly awaited first foal born last month.

    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

Watching with interest June. What a lovely girl she is, and the foal is so healthy and beautiful!

Thanks Robyn, I'm not a racegoer but I used to watch on TV when Nelly was racing - usually holding my breathe until she was past the finishing post. The little filly looks so pretty.

Hi Steve - the main reason I posted here is so that if the going got hard I wouldn't give up - sort of feel committed to finish. I found myself with unexpected free time so got back to it.

Thanks Robyn but now today when I look at it again, something's not right. It's too flat. I'll have to have a think and a play.
