Thank you Robyn, I had a quick play on the main computer with the grid and liked using it, so I created one for use on the ipad saved as a jpeg. I have it on the top layer set with the blend mode on shadow which hides the white background, it works really well.

Version 4.5 has a grid tool you can use that is really great.

Thank you symson. I prefer to relax in front of my iPad to paint and there isn't a grid in the iPad version of ArtRage at the moment, maybe in the future it would be a very useful tool if there was.
