    Middle of the night doodle

This is called a Rose of Sharon, at least in Missouri. It's growing in my yard. I just felt like drawing it.

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.www.gms9810.com/

That's a very lovely painting of a beautiful flower. Funny the direction something will lead you. I thought it looked like a hibiscus I have growing in my garden, so I Googled Rose of Sharon and ended up listening to Leonard Cohen singing 'The Traitor'.

The other night when I couldnt sleep I did the ironing! More fool me - I should have been 'doodling'.

    Agreed, lovely 'doodle'

It's weird as I was reading a book early that had a quote about being open minded. It said... "The trouble with having an open mind is that people come along and and put things in it."

I quite liked it. And I like your painting too.

    They're in the Hibiscus family.

Seems like all of the stuff that I've been happy with was done when I should have been sleeping.
