    Using ArtRage a different way

    Hi Guys

I've recently used ArtRage in an unconventional way, by creating textures for 3D models in an animated Music Video.

    Here's the video....

    Enjoy

Like Bertrude said, it's a really clever idea. I said more but edited it out because I realized it was telling the story before they had the chance to watch. So -- It's really cool. I'll say no more. and Bravo you!!!!!

Oh, alright. . . you have some hilarious plays on words and a wee bit more of note. Those mushrooms -- why aren't they amanita muscaria, a hallucinogenic mushroom common to the shamans of the Amazon and there abouts?

And I'll not make the other really funny pun as far as your theme and choice of mechanical device. . . very very clever and will bring a smile no doubt to any who make the connection. You know what I mean, clearly. . .

Cheers guys, glad you liked it.

Unfortunately I'm having to change the ending because the record label have said that it "promotes domestic violence" ??? Erm ok?

Right. Well domestic maids and domestic servants have the right to be protected against domestic violence I suppose. And here I was thinking it was his wife and not one of the hired help. If it was his wife though I think they were objecting because those two weren't both in the house. Only kidding. . . only kidding. . . though it would have been more even handed.

So how could the ending be changed then? Hmmmmm. . . I know. . . you can have the last cycle be where instead of the wife coming out like at the beginning, that at the end you have instead the pig come around and doing her moves. . . How kosher would that be? You wouldn't have to do anything except change out the female model for that round.

They want to see the wife sneak out of the house before the finale so she's not trapped.
They're completely fine with her hitting him with a rolling pin night after night though?

As long as they pay I don't mind but i'll be keeping the original on my youtube channel for sure!

The video is very cool and interesting to watch, but I' am curious to see the "unconventional way" you used Artrage.....could you post individual images from those sessions?

    Glad you liked the video.

The unconventional way of using ArtRage was to create textures, alpha maps, displacement maps, bump maps etc and wrapping them around 3D models which I then animated rather than creating paintings and illustrations as its supposed to be used.

I enjoyed watching the video but didn't think it would end like it did.

Very clever using AR to do the textures. Nice work!
