    Just a feather

Decided to finish this as it had been sitting waiting on a decision to delete or not. Not having looked at it for sometime I saw it differently and it seemed worth finishing. Taking it into PSP for making this thumbnail I tried the Clarify effect and it brought out some lights which I decided to keep.

Welcome back! Hope you ate too much and got swept up in the beautiful places you visited when you were on the wing.

I like the pattern on the feather. That and the background both in color and texture really work well together. Glad you didn't delete it.

Thanks Screenpainter - the background was made with a stencil and coloured with the paint roller. The stencil was from a set named Tonal.

Dear Mr.Akey of course I ate to much and got intoxicated by all the beautiful places I saw. I also brought home an unwanted souvenier - a virus that raged thru the ship and left me with a lung infection. With that and the jetlag, I have not felt much like painting. I envy those people who could sleep thru the long flights. However it was all worth it and I have those beautiful memories.

Thanks also Pat and to MsCopespeak- I hope you are getting some relief with your health issues.

What I love about this forum is the kindness of members when commenting - so many of you are talented painters and yet you take the time to say something encouraging to someone like me who is not skilled but loves to try and hopefully improve. Thanks guys!
