Embellishing a digital print
Okay, here I go again - The last video I posted showed me embellishing the small size practice print of my ArtRage triptych painting "Autumn Glory" - you can see that here: Embellishing a Giclee Print Part 1
What I'm doing here in the video you see here is that I'm brushing the impasto gel in the direction of the foliage, pretty much like I did in the digital painting. The key here is to brush in the shape and direction that you want the texture to be. Where the furthest part of the background is, I would just use smooth strokes, but where the leaves and brush and grass where, I'd use a dappling approach to the brush work. The dappled texture when dry would be clear but give the painting more of an impasto feel to it, and enhance the value of the digital print.
