And The Bard wrote. . .
Othello: "Forsooth and Oy Vey! 'Tis Desdamona! Quick! Hide thee and thine cheery blossoms! To wit, they are out of season and paying for unseasonal fruit should vex her dear!"

Caesar, you're becoming epic. Hahaha. Love them. . . er. . . it. . . um. . . these ribald Shakespearean neon-Classical fantasies. I shall away to the forest, apace.

That's what art's about, isn't it -- at some point it's about the relationship between the art and the viewer, sort of like speed dating. (D Akey)

Thank You, dear D Akey! What an amusing comment! It was probably one of my Midsummer Dreams, You know, before my wife reached for a club.
Anyway, maybe there's still some sort of ancestral memory and subconscious drivesinstead, which made me refer to Othello or rather to Moorish raiders and pirates kidnapping girls and slaughtering people with their raids in Southern Italy. We tend to criticize crusades and often forget what was (and still is being) done the other way. Rodhes, Crete, and Bisantium knew not only the Venitians' hard dominance, but also that far from better of the Islamic empires, Otoman Turks in particular. Malta resisted with their Knights coming from duifferent European countries: Spain, Italy, England, France.

Aloha, dear Andrea ... and thank You! You see, recycling paintings may be echological ...ahahah

Dear Pat, thank you for Your most kind word. I'm delighted to be able to uplift for a while such a nice couple with my silly illustrations, I'm pleased by the idea that You may laugh, I can almost see the scene and share your fun in a way. Well, take care and, as ancient Romans said in Latin: Sursum corda! (Up with Your hearts!). It should be easier now that You can kiss Your hubby again ...
