Sketchbook pro 2015 --> Artrage

I wonder in how far sketchbook pro is compatible with artrage? i seen a demo of the new version and they have included now perspective drawing including 1,2,3 and even fisheye perspective....I know you can say"try it out and see for yeself" but i should love to hear it from some1 more "adapted ten me,after all? its a sketch program! and i'm NOT good at all in that,lol

Not sure what you mean about it being "compatible with ArtRage"? You can't use both together. Do you mean comparable? - comparing the two?

SBPro is a sketch program but of course can also be painted in. I have even done photo manips in it, which you can do in ArtRage too.

I use SketchBook Pro on my tablets, both Galaxy Note and iPad, and export my files to my Wikdows 8.1 tabletop computer using the Photoshop layered file format. The Sketchbook Windows version can be used in the sam way. I had the 15 days tryout version and found that ArtRage and Sketchbook works seamlessly using the psd file format.

Sketchbook Pro has a great new brush engine, very good perspective tools and basic animation...and a lot more goodies for a reasonable price. I like it.

I have Sketchbook Pro 6 (desktop) and so far it seems like a really nice app, but I've not spent much time with it yet to be honest so I'm probably not the best to offer any meaningful comments.

With what little time I've spent with it, I've noticed it has a nice smooth feel to it's mark making and has an easy to use gestural interface that responds well with pen tablets. It has a range of traditional and synthetic brushes including some natural media and blending brushes but nothing quite like the real-ish media tools approach in ArtRage. I don't think it's trying to be a natural media simulator though, just a nice quick way to sketch stuff out (I guess the clue's in the name) and it does this very well. Like most art apps, I'm sure in the right hands some amazing work can be done with it but for comparison's sake, you don't really get that painterly-like look, grain and feel that you get with ArtRage.

It's worth noting that the perspective tools/features that have been mentioned are only in Sketchbook Pro 2015 which is geared for business users and comes at a higher price point - £190 compared to £55 for Sketchbook Pro 6 (UK SRP Prices).

For what it's worth, you can get SBP6 cheap online at places like Amazon. It's currently £17 at the moment (here in the UK anyway).

Also worth mentioning is that there's always Sketchbook Express which is free on the Mac App Store/Windows Store. It's tools are a little more limited if I remember correctly but it's a great way to get a feel for the app and how it operates. Worth a try I think

Hi ,I have used Sketchbook Pro since 2010 and Like SBP 6, specially on my Tablet and phone.It always felt like it was smoother or has less lag with drawing.I still use it from time to time mainly for sketching and designing ideas.Sketchbook Pro 7 looks great which will be a cheaper public version of Sketchbook Pro 2015.
You can use both ArtRage and SBP together like others have said you can export import PSD files same with Manga Studio 5 as well,which is another nice program.
I have used ArtRage the most out of my digital Art tools over the years,but it's nice to have other options as well.
