    An amused little kid

    Here's a portrait I got from a few poor resolution pictures (no one was actually used as a reference, just as an indication, since the pose is different from them all). I used pencil for drawing and chalk to color here.

    a great character study here Caesar, a happy little boy with an impish quality, love the way you did his hair and the canvas texture and dry brush technique , excellent study...

    I like the way the chalk brings out the canvas texture and of course the little boy is wonderful.

    Interesting. Super pic by the way -- full of personality and joy. The mood's contagious from just opening the page to be met with this huge emotion of amusement. The cause is ambiguous enough that we can take the mood and plug in any story we want about what's delighting the child so.

    You really have a knack for bringing your personality to your work -- between what you choose as subjects, and the things you feature in them. Great stuff. You must charm the heck out of your peers when you let them see the world through your eyes.
