    Irish Landscape

Something a little different from me - my take on 'The Mountains of Mourne'. Watercolour, airbrush and experimenting with different layer textures.

Love that Enug! Lots of lovely little details in there, and very well done.

You've got a really nice landscape and light over there, in Ireland and Your sky is famous for rapid changes and stunning views, thus hard to paint en plein air, I guess. I like Your windy day painting.

Spectacular! I LOVE this one. Great style! I can just hear the accents lilting musically along. Enjoy your European trip! And I agree, the start of a vacation is not the time to begin anything at all that would make you tense. There will be plenty of time after you return home to begin corralling your carnivorous inclinations.

By the way, have a great time!!! Hope you get lots of inspiration for many more such delightful paintings.

Thank you all as usual for your encouraging comments.

Mr. Akey the trip will be from Budapest to Amsterdam along the Danube and Rhine then across the channel via the Tunnel and finishing in Yorkshire, so there should be some wonderful sights to inspire. I have toured Europe before but this time I will be seeing it - dare I say - thru an artist's eyes. Just wish there were some way to 'Beam me up Scotty!' - not relishing the long flights from Downunder.

There's the main attraction missing though, in what sounds like the past times artists' Grand Tour ...
