Out of boredom came this Catalpa blossom. They're considered a weed tree here, I don't think most people even look at them. They look like an orchid.

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.

I had never done a background like that, it worked nicely so methinks I'll try it again with different colors.

I totally agree, it is a very subtle background that provides interest and harmony without interfering with the beautiful flower..
