    It seems she feels lonely and actually she has one of the best company besides her. She's not alone Great painting and actually a cheerful color palette to me. Sun is shinning on her with warmth

    Really nicely done!

    The figure really stands out. Loneliness but the day still shines on her.

    What a captivating image...there is a lot of emotion in this painting....

    Yeah, I'm with the others. Very emotional.

    In addition, rather than it being too sad, from the color and pose, I see it as someone who is moving from childhood awakening into physical maturity, with all the emotional uncertainty that comes as hormones enter the scene. And it's almost as if her lifelong pal, the stuffed animal, is symbolically giving away her hand, in a sort of marriage, to some boy as yet unknown. I personally think her toy will always be with her though, as a confidant, through the times to come. And the toy will become that boy in a way.
