    Recenty opened and saving Undo

Just a couple of ideas to contribute:

How about a Recently Opened list under the File menu...like in Word for Windows for example.

And, is it possible to save the Undo with the file for next time it's opened.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Hi Michael.
A recent file list in the menu is a good idea - I'll pass that one along to MattRage.
Keeping 'undo' is a bit trickier. It's a good suggestion though.
Would you want undo kept with every project, or just for the last project you were working on? Or what about just keeping (say) the last few undo events, rather than the whole history back to the original blank canvas.

    Thanks for that.

Would the whole history make the file size too big?

It can do. Depending on what you've been doing, the history can be many times the size of the actual document.
For example if you delete a layer, that entire layer has to be stored in the 'undo buffer' so you can get it back again. If you resize the canvas, the entire project including all the layers has to be stored in the undo buffer. Every paint stroke has to store everything that was beneath it.
The undo buffer can get very large.

However, it's still an idea worth considering. There are a number of things we can look at relating to undo histories, scripting, and the like.

Maybe there could be a preference setting to turn it on/off
