Lovely as ever. I can see you're pushing your contrast a little and I think it makes for a stronger painting. I love the bird. Looks like it's a plump operatic singer about to burst into an aria -- an ode to joy of some sort, like "It's grand to be alive. . . gosh, look at those blossoms. . .and mind the cats la la la LLLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA. . . . ."
"Not a bit is wasted and the best is yet to come. . ." -- remembered from a dream

The bird on the branch is exceptionally good.

That's what art's about, isn't it -- at some point it's about the relationship between the art and the viewer, sort of like speed dating. (D Akey)

Marilyn Anne, I totally love these, and as D Akey notes the increased contrast and more saturated colors really brighten your work up, I am especially impressed by the subtle texturing in the white flower you can almost see the cellular structure of the pedals...

You're still painting still lives ... LOL fine new additions. Actually the bird shouldn't be still life, but maybe it's embalmed ...
    Panta rei (everything flows)!
