3d2d Battle of the Duri dia and Federation Alliance

Well here we are on an alien world watching a scene from the chase of the pirates of Duri dia flee to escape the clutches of the Federation Alliance. The scene is that of the pirate base on planet Scordis apalis.

RED Ship= Pirate you know and the other ship is the Federation Alliance.

    The main pirate ship:
    1. 3d ship downloaded from Google 3d store
    2. imported to iClone 5 3d exchange
    3. exported to sketchup for painting,
    4. exported back to iClone 3d exchange
    5. imported into iClone 5 Pro

I built the 3d scene as follows:
Ground: 3 different land scenes mixed and reworked with tints, textures, lighting and positioning
Buildings: added and placed as desired with lighting effects
Space Ships: added and worked to fit the scene with lighting effects
Lighting: for more special effects added

Scene saved as 2d (PNG) it is large.
Opened in AR 4 and painted the stars with water brush.
Saved as a jpg for web
Wala done. about 6 hours work time,

This was a small project over 3 days so not all was done at one time....just when I had some free moments here and there to work on it.

    Hope you enjoy it

Wow, Bobbyray, it's good to read your explanation and steps on how you created this scene with 3D softwares. Some I never heard of it. It's a little dark on the side that I wish I can see more details. The bright lighting on the ground.

    HI Guys and thank you......

Yes, it is a lot of work but so is painting a scene like this which I could not do.......doh. I can only paint space and landscapes. So 3d offers me an ability otherwise not

I am very busy again with my new movie (3d) based on my books and if you want to view what is done.....three parts so far.... please do! It is not a hollywood quality movie......and my laptop is fighting me about trying to do things so......I did the best possible job.

The Universe vs The Beast of Harmala (Pts' 1-3) 30 min all together in 10 min segments each.

Thanks again for viewing and commenting as always

A quite intimate battle. The lighting and palette reminded me very much that of a nocturnal nativity scene! Wonderful!
