    You picked a winner to try because you really got the lighting just right so you must have had a feel for it to begin with. Painting took it farther than a casual photo, because to me it looks more interesting, there's more going on. The marks that went into it are really rich, as are the colors. It makes it very interesting to look at. Has a personal feel like step removed from the 'matter of fact' because a human being was processing it, the same was as a poem can interpret. It implies way more than the subject, as if looking at a whole world through a small opening. It has implications. It moves a plain subject into a whole different level. Very nice job Just Jean.

    justjean, beautifully painted little vignette ... great details like the tree trunks in the distant grove, and the snow piled up against the fence. the evident brushwork and canvas texture add to the richness of the work..... excellent work
