A rose... ok, 3 of them

My wife asked me if I could draw a rose freehand, with no reference image. I had never tried but this was my result. Each one was done a different way, the first being the lowest and the last one being on top. I think they're not bad for a first try. I already see 4 or 5 improvements when I do the next one.
PS: I know the vase is too full, if it's problem tip your monitor sideways and drain off some.

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.www.gms9810.com/

pretty darn good effort from scratch!...your painting captures the nested petals of an old fashion rose... very nice work!... btw I tipped my monitor to drain off some of that water and darn if it didn't short out my keyboard !..

Three red roses inquisitively staring at us! Fascinating and almost disquieting ...

    Nice stylization. Very detail descriptive.
