I got my Cintiq Companion 512GB last week - it works awesome with ArtRage!! As far as I am concerned Cintiq Companion and AR were made for each other.

That's super cool!
One day, I hope to get one of those too... one day.
You are obviously thrilled. Having something with a bit of size to draw on freestanding is such a boon!![]()

I got the same one for xmas and absolutely love it, although I found the first couple of weeks with it rough as it was without a doubt the most vile smelling electronics product I've ever purchased.![]()

Groovy! How hot does the temperature get under your hand? Is the heat coming off from it even noticeable? Warm? Hot?
Does it ever lag?
I've never tried any tablet where you're drawing on the screen. I'm really excited by it though.

Runs pretty cool overall... tepid warmth where the power supply connects after long time use on the power supply, barely noticeable though. Reason being is the cooling mainly, the fan cranks right up when running a process that's asking a lot. I'd estimate it to be around 3x louder than the fan noise of my older ep121, which may be loud for some. On the battery it runs cool for me (I live in a cold climate though).
By default I did get lag as all the power saving hoohah was on. Once I went in and set it to high performance it was great.
The screen drawing surface is superb, but not being gorilla glass I'm not sure how it'd go if getting bumped around a lot. Because of this, it's weight and size I consider it more like a mobile artboard.
Applications that are more tablet friendly like artrage, sketchbook, manga studio 5.0.3+ really shine while, adobe and corel fixed gui sizes suffer on the superhigh rez of the screen.

I agree with your assessment Juz. I use it for pen and pencil drawings mostly so the fan never comes on - didn't know there was a fan at first and have to make an effort to actually hear it when it is running. I do see some lag with ArtRage watercolor and airbrush but rarely use either tool.I usually size my drawings at 17" by 11" at 300dpi then crop later. It had a very strong chemical smell when I first opened the box. Smells OK now. Overall assessment - love it![]()
Oh you lucky guy! Pretty cool.
