    A Free Ride

Hello there, I've been a member for a little while but this is the first time I have plucked up the courage to post a painting. I'ts only in probably the last six months after upgrading from the early version of ArtRage that came with my tablet to ArtRage 4 that I've been learning how to use the painting tools.

I'm not an artist, know nothing about painting but I have found that ArtRage watercolour brush is my favourite mode - tho having said that I do try the oil brush and this painting with the oil brush is referenced from a photo in our local newspaper. As it was a black and white image I didn't have to worry too much about the colours.

I love the stencil feature of ArtRage and made a stencil for the background of this painting.

Thanks Steve, yes I was happy with it. I just thought the original was so adorable, I really wanted to try my hand at capturing some of the beauty.

Nicely done. Using a stencil for the water is a good idea.

Really nice water. That chick should have a pal with her. I have the longest ago memory of being in a boat on a park ride that went round and round in some of the greenest water -- very like what you painted. And I don't think I could have been much older than the little one herein. Thanks for jarring that memory. Also the mood was very similar to this.
