    Depth of paint?

Another question - can I increase the depth of paint laid down by the oil brush? Here's an example of the brushwork I'm trying to emulate, almost impasto in many places.

I love a challenge. Here's as thick as I can get it (on the right).

Mixture of Oil Paint, no thinners, max pressure and loading, Paint Tube with creative blending and layers. Bit of Crayon to pick up the canvas roughing. Have a go!

    Hi Gryshnak,

Right-click the layer you are painting on, select 'bump blend modes' and choose 'add' from the menu.

"Add: ArtRage adds the volume of the top layer to the
volume of the bottom layer, as if the top stroke was laid
on top of the bottom one."

You can get a bit more depth to the paint but be warned that you'll be stuck with the default top down lighting (current version has no options to affect lighting) which becomes more obvious the more volume you have.

Nifty, thanks Juz! I've never used that function, and it's great fun.

Thanks Juz, that's exactly the sort of thing I was looking for!
