    Daffodils

The daffodils have been blooming all around us. Got a little frost bite though. A strange winter in the Carolina's. I had seen a photo with a dark background so I was playing around with that theme. Hope you like them.

Marilyn Anne, I love daffodils! they and Crocus are the early harbingers of Spring... I like the brightness of the top image and the shades of green and yellow it looks as bright and crisp as any bouquet of Daffodils..

All those bright sunny shapes are just lovely Marilyn Anne! We are going into autumn, so ours are a long way away.

Love them. You're getting better and more sure all the time. Well painted.

Have you ever looked at mega-famous filmmaker Stanley Kubrick's wife Christiane Kubrick? I think you might like her. Wilder color, but not so very much far afield from your stuff (in my mind anyway). At least she is what's off in one direction at the fork in the road you may come to. Another is that you could go tighter as well. But anyway, kindred spirit maybe or not.

Edit: Wow, linking to google images searches is dangerous. Sorry for there being rude pictures mixed in there with the dozens of her paintings. Never my intention for those other ones to get mixed in. Only was linking you to Christiane Kubrick. So if you want to look her up, you can do a search and the pics that come up SHOULD be her garden paintings. . . hopefully. But as I look closer, the quality is so low rez that it may or may not show you her stuff clearly enough. The only reason really was to suggest some ways to introduce more carefree color. Anyway, I deleted the link here. Sorry about that.
