Welcome to 2014! Wishing you much beauty to paint.
Bienvenidos a 2014!

My style is to think more about overall shape and tone and less about lots of lines to describe hair. Less is more. But yours is a good exploration to try. Good.

It is true what you write.
In this work, the face is on a layer that does not have 100% opacity ...
I wanted to try hair texture, an element that has always cost me a lot to achieve.

Thanks for your post, the first in 2014 to me.

I find this a really interesting exploration. The thick lushness and texture of your hair is fascinating and so unique!

I'm still expermenting with hair, so many ways one can paint, sketch and draw it, can be
    maddening at times.
I like your 2014, first work!
    Take Care,
    Steve

The hair is always rather difficult parts to paint on the detail
You've got a volume very glamorous. Nice
