    Mt. Hood

This has an ink on paper base, but mostly was done in AR on the iPhone 5 with available tools ... Mt Hood is visible from some vantage points in Portland, this was sketched at the Japanese Gardens ...

    Pete,

Mount Hood is an awesome enough image on its own, knowing from what I think I've learned through your threads....you've done it justice in your own personal style of presenting your imagery.
    Enjoyed viewing it!
    Take Care,
    Steve

Just when you thought you left Los Angeles behind. . . You come to find yourself back in the shadow of the hood. . .
Actually it looks considerably more like Mount Ararat. You must have been recently inspired by Frank Stella. . . If anything I see an arc. . . er ark. . . er. . . something atop a peak. . .

Yup. . . to not be Frank for a moment, those couple Stella performances are quite apt for comparison -- yours and Streetcar. . . in that they're both steamy, gritty and textural.

The atmosphere moves all around while the mountain stands still within it as far as You focus and concentrare Your attention. You evocatively succeeded to make us see the mountain as a part of a unicum, a whole universe where You can hardly split between individual subjects and the environment they're in. An artform with a buddhist conception inside?

Hi jibes, and hope to see more of your work soon ...

    jean, thanks

Caesar, here's something I wrote and painted the other day that explains the influence of Buddhism ... or not?

    ...
    autumn ... an old path
clearing ... heavy dark wet leaves
no ... zen buddhist ... here
    ...
