I was trying out a new pencil pack

I was trying out an updated pencil pack by Someonesane. I used Toby for a model.

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.www.gms9810.com/

He looks like he is made of fabric George, which is quite cute. Love the way his eyes roll around to the viewer. I would lighten up the solid black patches with some white lines or something, so it's not so overwhelming, and fill in the claws on his near front foot so they match the other. Good work!

Neat. Like using the sections of the dog for trying different pencil settings or techniques or whatever. Coolness. . . That's what I call a model pooch -- one that got covered with graphite-i.

The reason there are no claws on his left front foot is because the reference drawing stopped there and I forgot to crop it.

I haven't figured out how to draw a white dog yet unless I make the bg darker.

I thought the shadows were too dark too but I was itching to try the #9.

It's good to see someone is making good use of my pencil set. Hopefully you're enjoying them

Really, I am. I'll enjoy them more once I learn how to draw.
