    while I was waiting

A friend messaged me this evening and said his wife wasn't going to live through the night. I didn't want to fall asleep so I drew this while I was waiting for news about her.

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.www.gms9810.com/

Very beautiful painting and lady. What You say about her is very sad and moving indeed. Just consider D Akey's suggestion because what he pointed out is quite immediately evident ...

The girl I drew isn't the one that died. Sorry, I should have said that. Thanks for the input.

Yeah, I see what you mean now that I'm awake and not full of mind altering drugs. It actually looks really bad.

Structure looking better. Nice. There was a quality as I recall to the features in the other one that I quite liked. Hope you didn't throw it out because you may want to look at it from time to time to see if you can duplicate it. Going only from memory here, but the marks you used were crisper in a graphic sense. This looks more finished/polished, which is also a legitimate choice you have as the artist. All depends on the look you're after. Before, the only problem was how the features fit together. But the features themselves were quite attractive. So onward. Your work is really coming on strong and fast.

I blurred the other one a little, I didn't this one. I think what you're thinking regarding skin tones is that the other one had some blush in the skin, this one doesn't have that. I'm content with this one considering my lack of talent. It was mainly practice in doing hair a different way.
