    'Sunday'

Simply just my Mother.. at eighteen with a friend standing in front of her fathers grocery store...
    on a hot Arizona day.

    The plan...
My mother gave me some old black and white photos... Water stained, sun exposure and every other imaginable damage
that sixty five years of being lost can do.
From time to time.. I'll try to recreate the images by painting them one at a time.
This one was torn inhalf and very faded!...So, I guessed at most of it....I picked the colors.

    Take Care Everyone,
    Steve

Steve, that is just wonderful! Lovely bright crisp colours and mood. I love reviving old photos and you've done it in the nicest possible way.

It's a heroic painting, rescuing the moment and the memory in such vivid color! ... ps: I hope that one day my grandchildren will enjoy looking at old faded digital images of me

    Thanks, Caesar!
All the photos are in really bad shape! Tried testing if they could be restored, 'but..no such luck!
Decided to paint them, leaving a hint of a what they really are...'Photos'!
    Take Care my friend,
    Steve

Decided to paint them, leaving a hint of a suggestion for what they really are...'Photos'!...But, such good ones though! My mother loves the end result..and I'm happy for that! I believe you and afew others would have done the same!

Thanks again for your for kind and encouraging
    comments!
    Take Care my friend,
    Steve

    Thank you, Robyn!
This first one is the beginning of a learning process for me! still trying to figure out how to get the details down looking through decades of deterioration!....Plus!.. Why were photos so small back then?
Always look forward to your comments
    and advice!
May need some on this project from both of you!

    Take Care,
    Steve

*Downsized the image, It was losing to much definition for being a small painting, based on a small photo!

That's fantastic. I really like the sign lettering and the way you captured the shadows in the door. Wonderful!
