Steve, your flesh tones are so beautiful, always love your work
He looks so unusual, I like your style very much!
Peter O'Toole is he? Is that the Lawrence of Arabia reference about wandering the desert? This doesn't look dressed like that movie as I recall (been a while since I've seen it but don't know if he was ever a civilian in that story). Anyway, he looks great here as a portrait. Nice painting. Quite an actor.
And if I guessed wrong, it was because of Andrea throwing me off with is red herrings.
I still say Peter O'Toole.

Thanks Caesar,
Your comment is much appreaciated, and eventually I'll settle on one style. I've been back and forth, as you know,
Just trying to see what I feel comfortable with.
Thanks friend,
Steve
Hi Andrea,
I had a feeling you would know, you have that 'love of film' advantage going for you..Me too!
Just didn't feel right about giving it a title, felt I didn't do him justice.
Take care friend,
Steve
Hey Steve,
Been looking through this thread and your paintings are brilliant. I do have one question/thought...
Are you intentionally leaving the edges of your subjects so crisp? They look pasted into the paintings.
If this is what you're intending then cool! Otherwise I might suggest fuzzing the edges to blend them into their
surroundings some more. I noticed that one of the pieces seemed to have this done but most don't. Anyway,
just a thought. Keep up the awesome work!

Hi Eighty,
Oh yeah! After all, he was one of the hellraisers....
Thanks for visiting and
take care,
Steve
Not your best (The hairline is a little jarring, and the likeness not quite so exact as your other more recent work), but still very impressive - It's still clearly Mr O'Toole, and I am amazed by the lifelike tones in his face. I also like his expression; "I'm Peter O'Toole, what's your problem?" Lovely.

Hello Jean,
Thank you! I'am happy you like it, should have finished it in December, may have turned out a bit better.
Take care,
Steve
