Ok, I'm a spend thrift kinda guy. I've been looking at tablets. The WACOM tablets are a bit pricey, and I'm not all that convienced I need to spend that much for a tablet. So the question, is there another option for the tablet, that is compatible with Art Rage 2? I want the best bang for my buck.

Which Wacom tablets? The Graphire 4 tablets only cost around $100. Maybe you were looking at the Intuos models-which cost $ 230-$750 usd on their web site.

What features are you not convinced that you need?

Ive got a WACOm volito 2 which I bought last april 2006, still using it....it cost

30 in UK pounds, not sure what the conversion is.

The only thing is that the nib on the pen starts to wear out after a few months of constant use...and its quite expensive to buy another one.....all the latest pictures ive done is with a cracked nib, if you can spend a bit more, go for a bit more expensive WACOM.

When i get a bit more money i'll probably get a WACOM intous.

Volitio is good for a hoobyist and for a first time user its good practice.

I'm not convienced that the pen preasure is needed on both the tablet and the program. Also that $99.00 Wacom has a usable screen size of , I think it's 4 X 6, doesn't seem very big. My intentions are mainly drawing or painting purposes. I don't know, I guess I should just go to my local retailer and let one of the geeks sale me one.

My Graphire 4 has has replacement nibs fir $5.00 for 6 nibs. Just pull one out, put the new one in. Order from Wacom.

I'd be very surprised if the Volitio doesn't have replacement nibs as well.

This must be a promotion action

If they took down their prices, sales would increase with leaps.
The volito is no option, if it only lasts a few months.
Better to invest in something that will last a few times longer. There's also other brands you can take a look at.
Though not near as good as wacom, I used a cheaper brand for years ,before this one. There are many buttons on top of the tablet to which you can define functions/actions.
