    "Waiting"

This painting started out as a attempt on my part to paint a certain facial expression, And it just started getting bigger and bigger! I really don't know what it is that I'am trying to say with this painting but I thought "Waiting" was a fitting title!
Also, I'd like to thank everyone for the warm wellcome that I have recieved in this community!

Nicely done. I'm really drawn to the tables and chairs on the left wall, all clean with the flowers looking fresh. The whole scene is just waiting for something. Customers? For life to return to it. Thinking of that, the same is for the face--it's like a face caught between emotions, having done one thing, now unexpectedly caught waiting to do another thing.

To rscottfree, 'Interesting', I'am happy viewing it made you think about what you see in it and sharing it , I may have unintentionally wanted people to think to themselves 'What's the story here?'
Thank you for your kind comment,
    Steve
