This is lovely Katie, the contrast of the red shoes with the snow really works, you have great imagination.

Beautiful - Love the footprints walking away from the shoes. I cant remember how cold snow is as I have lived in Australia for 25 years now, but when I was a kid in the UK I used to run around barefoot in snow and it was so much fun. Thanks for bringing back great memories...Lovely painting...Stuart

When I see some shoes stuck in the mud it reminds me of meself as a lad. More than once me mum would have to trace back the footsteps to where the mud sucked my feet bare and recover my shoes.

But in the snow? Now that's a new wrinkle. Going barefoot in the snow. . . makes me think of something magical.

Or. . . if you're going for the symbols, it's a dancer who hit the winter of her career and was released from her slavish allegiance to the Dance.

Either way, it's a cool painting, which of course considering the heat out here is a welcome relief to see. I feel like rolling around in the snow au naturale myself on days like this. Stick me head in the freezer sometimes I do. Sadly it melts the ice cream.

    More paintings, please!
