Go Pat! Paint those scenes with the full palette as you do so well.

That's a hefty chain at the end of the road leading into the river. One night I once nearly drove my motorcycle into the lake on one, not knowing it was a boat launch. If it had not been that I was lost and saw a sign as I whipped by, and my stopping suddenly, as I intended to go back and read what I missed, I found as my eyes adjusted that there was water about a foot ahead of my front tire.

A very visible chain would have been good. Anyway, when I rolled my bike back to read the sign it basically said in fine print that this was a boat launch, dummy and not a road. I got a particularly good chuckle out of that near miss. So did my mate on the back. The guy sitting to the side of the "road" on his tailgate spooning mouthfuls of cold pork and beans from a can into his yap never cracked a smile nor missed a beat in the cadence of his shoveling in his dinner. Heck, we thought it was funny.

So your painting sorta reminds me of that moment. Thanks for the fun recollection.

Sense of movement and intense colors. Another delightful style evolution, dear Pat.
