    Thanks copespeak for sharing that link. It was inspiring, especially to see such attention to detail and physical craftsmanship.

    I think in the computer art age there is a tendency to try and get to the end result as fast as possible, and then turn out the next one and the next one and so on. He made an important comment about how the initial detailed drawings formed the foundation to feed all the way through the process. A lot of the detail he painstakingly added in those sketches would have been lost when scanned to produce the vector artwork for cutting out. I think it takes self-confidence and a complete understanding of what you are doing, to persevere with a piece of work until you either run out of time or are completely happy with it (or are so bored with it you never want to see it again).

    Great vid, thank you. So interesting and beautiful to watch handmade stuff being made. So rare these days.
