    Looks very San Francisco Bay, although I did not know there were breaking waves in the bay. -- white caps a plenty for sure. And I do recall a certain earthiness of the blues when I was there as well. You captured that character.

    The warm colors are interesting. Pulls the colors together. The perspective lines really pull the eye to the point of convergence, which happens to be out of the shot. Something to consider when you compose your paintings.

    This one has a feeling of being taken from a photo 'as is'. Keeping the beer bottle lends it a certain editorial realism as well, not to mention if one was inclined toward creating a journalistic impression not unlike in a personal voice of the artist with 'On The Road' or 'Travels With Sullivan' etc.

    But it's a really satisfying piece. Like I said, I like the color and also the brushwork works nicely and sets off the parts of the painting.

    The swirl of the waves and the splash is very effective!
