    was doodling the other night and came across some bird photos.

    I picked out a colorful bloke.

    Mostly oil brush, pen and flat knife.

    Hey, looks great! Wonderful technique. Good use of black "line". Nice variety. Certainly reads great. Good background too. Very consistent. "Beautiful plumage."

    I did a search for "bird" and this came up - I love parrots. This a great painting and I like the style a lot - I used to use black lines to accent my paintings a lot back in the day (whether chalk/felt tip cartoons or acrylic paint). I really like that style for some reason, but maybe that's because I struggle with creating enough depth and boundaries without them... You probably don't have that problem!
