    My daughter's ugly dog

It's one of those nights where I just HAD to draw something, you know, the same kind the rest of you get. I set my sights on my youngest daughter's ugly dog. The result was appropriately ugly. I made two versions, not sure which is the best or ugliest.

Just for comparison I posted the original:

The last time I kept an open mind,
my brain fell out and the dog grabbed it.
Now it's full of dirt, toothmarks, and dog slobber.
No more open minds or dogs for me.www.gms9810.com/

By the way, I was trying something I heard a real artist say in a youtube video. He said it's a mistake to try and get a painting etc too precise because the imperfections are what make it original.

It's an ugly little beast alright.
You've captured him well, in stereo.

    I think he is cute!

He seems quite charming! You did a nice job of painting him!

I like whiskery little dogs, and I don't think he's ugly at all!! You've enjoyed splashing the paint around here, maybe put some light in the eyes??

I haven't done much with the water color mode, I thought about making a separate layer with some finer detail and yes, I think you're right, brighter eyes are needed.
