A very nice painting of the bulldog, but I must agree the cutoff of the body just does not seem right, might be an idea to make him coming out of water.

I agree with you both about the lack of legs. I've updated my painting but had to "fudge" the paws as they weren't shown in photo. ref. and I couldn't manage to get them looking right. That's something I shall have to work on. Thanks for taking the trouble to comment.

Great work, though some work on shading will certainly improve your portrait. What is the name of this French Bulldog? I have a dog named Bruno, who resembles with your dog, tried to upload Bruno's picture but got error.

Hi Adler,
Thanks for commenting on my drawing. It was prompted by a photo of a British Bulldog, not a dog personally known to me. I'm very fond of the breed but have never owned one. I used to have a cross bred Border Collie who we called Bruno.
