Really good Robyn, only you would paint some with defects and not perfect.

Love them. It's all good but I particularly like the stems. They could make or break it and they look great.

Geoff, I wish I could stop being a realist, but I love it.
Mr Akey, the stems were a bugger to do! I actually did a selection, then filled them in with the paint roller, then deselected and fiddled with them. Fiddly, but I love the selection tool, I use it all the time.
I am thinking I might go back in and erase the background, and give it a more watercolour finish as it's a bit too predictable. Unfortunately I merged the layers, so the cherries are no longer on their own. Hmmm.

Off I wandered into Photoshop and was able to select the cherries with no problems.
In AR, I scrubbed in some white roller, plopped in some washes and blended, then back to PS to drop in a large watercolour brushmark or two.
Much happier!

Yeah. Looks good.
My only concern would be that the active strokes with that much contrast are competing with the fruit. One of a million ideas would be instead of on white it could be closer to the tan in hue and value. The highlights are the same color as the ground where there's no paint and it sets up a relation between them.
I mean it's cool, only it's a matter of what you most want the viewer to look at. Artist's call always. But that's one jazzy border and much more emphatically watercolory than the original.
