Coffeehouse - sketch paintings (update Mar 24)

I'm going to be posting a few sketch paintings in this thread -- to show some work I've been creating (while sitting in various coffee houses)

the work was done using an ASUS EP121 slate PC -- with Wacom pen

    *** Edit: new work added Mar 24, 2013 @10 AM PST -- ON PAGE 4 ***

I really like that Chad. I like the slightly angular appearance. And the "coffee" palette is very appealing.

    Is this done with chalk?

    Reminds me of Juan Gris.

This is wonderful. Love the style, the textures give it that lovely handcrafted (non digital) touch.
The warmth of the palette is delicious and the sensibility shown in the handling of the glass is my favorite part.

Only drawback I can see is that I like my coffee black with no sugar

How appropriate that someone from Seattle would paint in a coffee house. You have painted a warm and inviting ambiance. I'm looking forward to more of your paintings.

Nice. Lots of potential. The technique looks great.
