    An illustration of Anna

Anna is my friend's grandchild and I loved the picture of her playing with her doll named Abigail. Abigail is actually a new baby in the family and was born a month ago. That inspired Anna to play with her doll.

    Really nice painting
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

    Marilyn Anne,
What an engaging portrait this is of a happy little girl

love the watercolor look of the portrait and a face that seems right out of a Mary Cassatt.
one suggestion you might select a background color that is more complimentary to the painting...
something of a light pastel color perhaps would bring out the nice watercolor look.

    Thank you all so much.

I have to admit I did not give much thought to the background as it was a dark brown in the picture I had of her. I like the idea of changing it. Your version looked lovely. I think it is a good idea to take that moment to think of what is good for the painting. I have often rehearsed different colors for background as it is so easy to do in digital painting. Thank you for the reminder that so helps the overall feeling of the painting.
