Looking through all the threads with "birds" - this is a great find! I particularly like the feathers at the base of the neck and top of the wing, you captured some great detail and texture. So very jealous and inspired. I would have liked to see the background a bit more... hm, not sure - with more colour gradient and more oil feel to it? But nevertheless the macaw is splendid. I'd love to be able to paint parrots at that level one day.
Skylar, those feathers look so FLUFFY, what a great effect. Great contrasts overall. Really well done
